Imagine a client advice note that once took half a day now takes ten minutes, then waits a week for approval. The drafting improvement is real, but the client still waits...
If approval is the constraint, producing more drafts may add to the queue. A better review packet could be more useful: the recommendation, supporting sources, unresolved issues and the decision required.
We would measure the journey from request to accepted outcome, including waiting and rework, before choosing the next intervention.
For your firm, the useful question is whether faster production actually helps the responsible people deliver a better outcome to the client.
